Barack Hussein Obama II3 (audio ▶? / I, born in Honolulu, USA, August 4, 1961) is the forty-fourth and current president of the United States América.4 Obama was senator from Illinois 3 January 2005 until his resignation on November 16, 2008.5 In addition, the fifth African-American legislator in the Senate of the United States, third from the era of reconstruction. It was also the first African American candidate of the Democratic Party and is the first to hold the office presidencial.6


He graduated from Columbia University and at the prestigious Harvard Law School Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review Law Review.7 then worked as a community organizer and practiced as a lawyer career in civil rights, before being elected and serve as an Illinois state senator from 1997 to 2004. He taught constitutional law at the law school at the University of Chicago from 1992 to 2004. In 2000 he lost the race for a seat in the House of Representatives of the United States, and after his previous failure in January 2003 announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate. In March 2004, won the Democratic primaries, and in July the same year delivered the opening speech at the Democratic National Convention favoring promoting his candidacy. Finally he was elected to the Senate in November 2004, with 70% of the votes favor.8


As a representative of the Democratic minority in the 109. Congress, co-sponsored the legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. Made official trips to Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. At 110. Congress sponsored legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, global warming, nuclear terrorism and care of military personnel returning to the nation's military mission in Iraq and Afghanistan.
